ASBA Boardmanship Program
ASBA encourages the efforts of board members to enhance their personal boardmanship skills and to promote their local boards and the Arkansas School Boards Association. ASBA has set up a Boardmanship Program in which individual board members and entire school boards are recognized for their training and service.
- Individual Board Member Recognition Program
The Arkansas School Boards Association encourages the efforts of board members to enhance their personal boardmanship skills and to promote their local boards and the Arkansas School Boards Association. The ASBA certifies the completion of in-service training and recognizes other activities by members that promote good school governance through the ASBA Boardmanship Awards Program.
- School Board Recognition Program
ASBA recognizes Arkansas school boards for achieving educational excellence and ethical service to the students of their districts. The awards are designed to recognize boards that operate through a team effort, a shared vision, and a unified commitment to provide the best possible climate for, and program of, educational Arkansas School Boards Association Boardmanship Awards Program opportunity to their local communities.
- Receiving Boardsmanship Credit
A boardmanship credit form will be available to register earned hours at all ASBA functions. Forms may also be requested for participation in other activities not directly sponsored by, but accepted by ASBA. These must be validated by your superintendent and ASBA staff.
