Program Description
The Risk Management Program (RMP) is a self-insurance pool that serves Arkansas public schools providing coverage for property and vehicles.
School districts are required to carry the minimum legal requirements of the Motor Vehicle Safety and Responsibility Act §27-22-104. Current limits are 25/50/25* and school districts are immune over those amounts.
School districts in Arkansas, are not required to carry general liability coverage. School districts are not legally liable for property damage or bodily injury claims other than by vehicle accidents. For this reason the RMP does not write general liability policies. See Arkansas Codes Annotated §21-9-301 and §6-19-103.

(b) The policy shall provide, as a minimum, the following coverage:
- Not more than twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000) for bodily injury or death of one (1) person in any one (1) accident;
- Not more than fifty thousand dollars ($50,000) for bodily injury or death of two (2) or more persons in any one (1) accident; and
- If the accident has resulted in injury to or destruction of property, not more than twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000) for the injury to or destruction of property of others in any one (1) accident.
