Superintendent Evaluation

The Arkansas School Boards Association (ASBA) recognizes that boards of education have a legal obligation to evaluate superintendents annually. More importantly, ASBA realizes that it is one of the most important responsibilities of the school board. An effective performance evaluation helps drive school improvement and student achievement, promotes a positive relationship between the school board and superintendent, demonstrates accomplishments of the district and helps in setting annual priorities.

This comprehensive superintendent evaluation system is designed to help school board members and superintendents implement an effective, meaningful evaluation process that is focused on improving student achievement.
