LEARNing to have Hard Conversations about Employee Performance and Discipline

LEARNing to Have Hard Conversations
About
Employee Performance and Discipline

Kristen will use a practical and experiential learning experience for licensed and unlicensed supervisors and school leaders in light of the new Arkansas LEARNS Act.

Many educators or school district supervisors feel poorly equipped to “document” employee misconduct or disappointing performance.  Others may feel confused about what the recent changes to the law (repealing both the Teacher Fair Dismissal Act and the Public School Employees’ Fair Hearing Act) will make to their daily lives and what the role of the board will be from now on.  This class is designed to educate leaders and empower supervisors to address problems in the workplace and explain what the role of effective documentation will be in light of the new due process landscape.

Attendees, including board members, will receive 5 hours of credit for attending this workshop.

The number of registrants for this five-hour workshop will be limited, so reserve your spot soon. Lunch will be provided onsite and is included in the registration fee.

If you have questions or require assistance or accommodations, please contact Tammie Reitenger at treitenger@arsba.org.
