The Arkansas School Boards Association is now accepting presentation proposals for the 2026 Southern Region Leadership Conference, set for July 19-21, 2026, at the Hot Springs Convention Center. This collaborative event will bring together school board members and education leaders from Arkansas, Mississippi, and Louisiana.
With this year’s theme, “Meeting the Moment: Strategic Leadership for Today’s Schools,” we are looking for sessions that speak directly to the challenges leaders face today while also offering practical strategies, fresh perspectives, and meaningful solutions.
If you have a story to share, a strategy that’s working, or insight that can help boards lead more effectively, we encourage you to submit a proposal. Sessions will be approximately 60 minutes.
Presentations should:
Target school board members as the primary audience
Enhance board members’ ability to improve student outcomes
Preferably include a school board member as part of the presenting team
Offer innovative ideas and practical solutions
