The winners of ASBA’s student speaking contest for 2021 were Tu Nguyen, 1st place; Katie Prejean, 2nd place; and Celia Mayfield, 3rd place. Student applicants submitted a 600-750 word personal essay and a video of the essay presented as a speech at our annual conference. They were selected by a panel of judges.
The topic this year was a very timely one: Individual Rights vs the Common Good: What is the proper balance?
In addition to speaking at our annual conference, the top three winners were awarded a plaque and a cash prize.
