ASBA is holding a personal essay and speaking contest for Arkansas juniors and senior, where the winner(s) will have an opportunity to present to school board members and school administrators during the 2022 ASBA Annual Conference which will be held December 7-9, 2022.
Students will write/speak to the topic below and must follow the Rules and Guidelines for the contest.
TOPIC
Define and discuss challenges you see in our educational system. What changes can be made to improve it for the next generation of learners?
This contest has been a great success, highlights the very best in students’ writing and speaking efforts, and allows our attendees to witness examples of the bright, thoughtful, and accomplished students from around our State. There are cash awards for the chosen winners who agree to present during conference. They are:
- 1st Place $1,000 cash prize
- 2nd Place $750 cash prize
- 3rd Place $500 cash prize
- Honorable Mention $250 cash prize
